Cloud Computing at 35,000 Feet!

If you or your company is anything like SingleHop, you’re using cloud-based technology.  Depending on your company’s comfort level with the cloud, you may be crafty veteran or a relative newbie, either way, you know the cloud is here to stay.  That is unless you’re on a non-Wi-Fi flight like I am as this very second.

I am aboard a flight from Chicago, IL to Austin, TX with Andy Pace, our CCO. (I realize by the time you’re reading this I will be grounded – humor me). With the next 5 weeks being the most important in SingleHop’s young history, you can imagine things are just a tad busy.  Being the lean and efficient organization that we are, you can also imagine we rely on internal collaboration a great deal. And what’s the best tool for collaborative work? The Cloud!

Ironic, isn’t it?  Here I am, literally amongst the clouds, and yet I’m completely removed from the cloud.  This simply means one thing – the airlines need to catch up to the cloud movement by making every flight Wi-Fi capable!

The reason for our trip is to attend cPanel’s annual Bootcamp! This is my first time attending, but I am going to rely on Pace’s experience navigating this massive industry-insider event! One part knowledge driven, one part(y) networking, we are looking forward to the next few days in Austin.
