SingleHop Founder and CEO, Zak Boca, was recently named to the Techweek 100 list in honor of the event. Anytime a SingleHopper is acknowledged like this, and especially when it’s the head honcho himself, we love to shamelessly brag! The Techweek 100 is a list of 100 Chicago leaders impacting today’s technology landscape on a global scale. Having been selected by this year’s Techweek attendees and careful nominations the 100 is not a ranking, but rather a list of influential technology leaders. Zak was honored to have been chosen, and knew this meant a lot for not only him, but SingleHop as a company.
“It’s an honor to be listed personally, but I think it really shows where the entire company has come from, in such a short period of time,” Zak said. “The list includes some very intelligent people and great business around Chicago, so to be recognized with them is a great feeling.”
Including on this year’s list is the likes of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, President and CEO of Boeing James Albaugh, and Chairman and CEO of Motorola Gregory Brown, among many others. With SingleHop’s rapid growth over the past few years, and recent investment from Battery Ventures, it’s no wonder Zak made the list, among some of Chicago’s brightest technology stars.
“I think it puts SingleHop out there as thought leaders in the web hosting industry. We work very hard to stay on the cutting edge of new technologies and applications, so to be recognized as an industry leader in innovation for technology really shows that SingleHop is growing and staying ahead of the game.”
At a young age, Zak has already gathered quite a few accomplishments, including being named to Chicago’s Top 40 under 40 entrepreneurs, and the Chicago Area Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. Zak attributes dedication and his team to the reason he has been blessed with so much success.
“”When you love what you do, it never feels like work, so just finding something you enjoy doing leads to success,” Zak said. “I’m also blessed by a very talented staff, who believe in what we do and work very hard to make SingleHop a great company. When you surround yourself with those types of people; you can’t go wrong.”
