Look Ma, no browser! Manage your dedicated server right from your desktop. LEAPwidget is here.dsalcedoby18 Aug 2009

You have spoken and we have heard you: an easier, faster and more intuitive way to control your server is now here.  While we are extremely proud of LEAPwebtop, where you can thoroughly manage your server on a desktop-like environment, there is now a simpler and more user friendly solution for tasks like submitting tickets, checking the status of your server, and even billing; please welcome LEAPwidget!!!  Always looking for new ways to provide more control to our clients, this year we have released two groundbreaking offerings that allow our clients extraordinary levels of control over their dedicated servers. In March we released LEAPmobile, which offers server management on-the-go through iPhone, Blackblerry, Android and even Palm machines. Today we introduced LEAPwidget, which eliminates the need for a browser when keeping tabs on your server. Whether you use Linux, Apple’s OSX, or Windows, LEAPwidget offers control over your dedicated server in less clicks, and less hassle, than anyone else in the industry. So without further ado, please checkout LEAPwidget.com to download the widget and tell us what you think!

Whitney Godard- The Newest Member of The SingleHop Team!dsalcedoby13 Aug 2009

Coming to us live and in action from a suburb of the ever-so-famous Detroit Rock city, Whitney is the newest member of the SingleHop team.  She hails from Grosse Pointe MI (since no one seems to live in Detroit Michigan these days), but brings with her a new breeze to the office.  Being the second girl to join the SingleHop family, Whitney brings a vast amount of knowledge in customer communication, telecommunication, and sorely needed human interaction skills :)

After having attended the University of Dayton for Business Administration, Whitney returned back home and worked as a sales team leader for a telecommunications company. She was one of 20 employees to start up the Detroit market.  Her hard work, drive and dedication aided in making Detroit the fastest ramp up market in the company. With the need to excel further, Whitney took to the road and found a new place to stake her claim in the world of technology by moving to the West Loop of the Windy City.

Whitney enjoys traveling, boating, tennis, biking, golf, and mini vacations that involves mass quantities of frequent flyer miles to visit the 400+ Face book friends she has now a days.  She’s a huge Detroit sports fan, and has the knowledgeable facts to back them up. (insert Lions joke here) Whitney has grown up an equestrian, and has ridden horses for 18 years. She has two horses back at home in Michigan. Here with her in Chicago is her golden retriever, Bella, whom she loves to pieces and who will hopefully get to visit the office soon.

The motto that she lives by is “Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.” We certainly look forward to how she reacts to our BBQ fêtes almost every Friday evening ;)

Out with the Old, In with the New…Our Transition from LivePerson to LiveZillaStephOby04 Aug 2009

We have been using LiveZilla to help sell dedicated servers for the last couple of months and so far it has been working very well.  One of the biggest motivators to make the switch was the value that we can get from LiveZilla versus LivePerson.   LiveZilla provides free live chat support with no limit on the number of users, unlike LivePerson that charges a fee per user. When it comes to our office we need several users online so the costs can be made up over a year.

LiveZilla also allows for customization and branding  with our own logo when initiating a chat (see photo right).  As you can see, it still has Poindexter (the cute frog) and our SingleHop contact information.  When using our live chat you will see one of our handsome account executives pop up in the window ready and waiting to assist you.  When this happens this is what we see on our end (see picture to the left). LiveZilla

One of the features that I like best on LiveZilla is their GeoTracking which enables the user to see exactly where the person you are currently chatting with is located.   Along with the person you are chatting with, you can also see where all the visitors to your site are coming from.  Another feature I like about LiveZilla is the ability for visitors to rate the support we provide them and offer us feedback.  So far visitors or clients to our site have said that I am perfect and I provide top notch service!  (Now you know why I like this feature so much!)

Feel free to give me some feedback if you use or have used LivePerson and/or LiveZilla – would love to hear your thoughts! :) SingleHop.chat_1249071843051
