Just a short post today. I went to check our mailbox today and the Chicago branch of the BBB had sent us the below certificate. The certificate says that not a single one of our clients has complained to the BBB in all of 2008. This doesn’t mean that we went all of last year without having any disputes or disagreements with our clients. What it does mean is that we were able to resolve those disputes and disagreements to everyones satisfaction. 

The outage we experienced was not a result of an upstream provider. Coincidentally around the time of the outage a provider was conducting maintenance, though after troubleshooting the issue our networking engineers found that a core provisioning system had inadvertently overwritten certain configurations on one of two core routers. The result, as seen by clients was a brief outage.

Our inhouse developers have made appropriate code change to ensure that the issue doesn’t happen again. A 5 minute backup was restored, so there should not be any clients that are still experiencing downtime. If you are, please submit a ticket.
