
Greetings, Current SingleHop Customers,
We are sending out this notice to make you aware of a Scheduled Power Outage that is to occur this Saturday morning, November 8th, between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Central. We do not expect this environmental power lapse to last for more than 45 minutes maximum. We will be checking each rack to make sure servers are being brought back online as quickly as possible to minimize the downtime.
While this will affect the greater number of dedicated servers within our network, all servers will lose internet connectivity during this time due to networking gear being power-cycled. Here is the full description of the issue:
This maintenance event effects 85% of our server cabinets.
Maintenance Window: December 8th 01:00am - 02:00am (Central Time)
Expected Downtime: 45 Minutes
In preparation of future power consumption, the datacenter technicians are planning to replace the power breakers for the majority of our server cabinets. We will do our absolute best to keep the downtime to an absolute minimum during this important upgrade. We’re already making extended preparations for this event and will provide additional details and reminders via the SingleHop.Com Blog.
The expected downtime is slightly padded in anticipation of rare and unexpected events.
