TECH cocktail 6 came and went once again on Thursday night of this week. The SingleHop crew was present and accounted-for by approximately 6 p.m. and we were able to get everything ready to go in time for the start. Matt Wolff did an amazing job once again of organizing all the aspects required to have food available, signs and T-shirts created and having an overall game plan set in place for this event for our organization. Without him, we would just be a table with crudely-created paper signs.
Another big thanks is due to Chris Meisinger for taking the grand majority of pictures for the event with his awesome Canon EOS Digital Camera. Check out the pictures here: http://www.singlehop.com/gallery/v/TechCocktail6/
We were able to speak with many new people at TC6 and we felt that this was definitely the best event in the series so far, in terms of getting face-to-face communication and being able to hold a conversation. Most likely this was due to not having a video game to stare at, or loud music in the background drowning out the voices. It was most definitely a very interactive crowd and we felt that there were many more questions directed to us regarding our services in comparison to previous gatherings.
If you missed one of the 20+ write-ups about the event, here are a few of the other sponsors and companies that provided demos:
SeatQuest, Songza, Cappex, Centro, Athena, ChicagoMicro, SitterCity, Saper Law, myAOL and the list goes on and on.
The organized event had over 500 attendees and, at times, it became kind of tough to wade through the throngs of technically-associated denizens, but we felt that there was definitely a great vibe throughout the room.
Thanks once again to the people mentioned above, Frank & Eric for organizing the event and everyone who attended. We hope to see you all at the next TECH cocktail in the series!
