Greetings, SingleHop customers, friends and staff!
Today (this evening), August 8th, 2007, has been designated by our management team and Systems Administrators as the migration period to move your servers and hardware configurations to our new Data Center facilities here in Chicago. The move will begin at approximately 10 p.m. It will entail a physical move of the hardware across approximately 9-12 city blocks and should consist of approximately 2-3 hours of actual downtime for individual servers and configurations. We expect to move over 400 servers, network equipment and security nodes over to the new locality.
We’ve previously informed our customer base of the time required to complete this task and we will be fielding phone calls and email/ticket responses throughout the evening and morning, as per usual, with our 24 hour Support service.
Please feel free to contact us at any time before, during or after the move to discuss your individual situations, if you have any questions about the move or you’d like clarification for any of the information you’ve read on this migration project. We’ll be standing by to assist.
P.S. Be sure to watch the gallery over the coming week to see pictures of this activity!
