Zachary D. BocaPresident & CEO

Zak Boca co-founded SingleHop, Inc. in October of 2006, with his long-time business partner Dan Ushman. SingleHop is another company in a long line of achievements Zak has accomplished throughout his life. From as early as Kindergarten, Zak had an entrepreneurial frame of mind. When given the opportunity to dress up as what he wanted to be when he grew up, Zak came to school fully clad in a suit and tie, carrying a briefcase. While most kids spent their childhood playing The Oregon Trail or other computer games, Zak was already busily establishing his own businesses in the technology industry. Just a small town boy from Bowling Green, Kentucky, Zak founded NexAds, LLC in 2001, working from his moms house, while attending Western Kentucky University and working at a local pizza joint. NexAds was acquired in 2003, and Zak made his way to his next project.

When midPhase Services was taking off, Zak packed up his car and made the move to Chicago. As if one business wasn't enough, two more companies were established during midPhase. Zak and Dan together co-founded ProcessingPoint, LLC in 2004, and SingleHop, Inc. in 2006. ProcessingPoint now employees agents throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Zak and Dan led built midPhase in to one of the fastest growing hosting companies, and through a successful acquisition in late 2007. With a strong passion for his job and the thrill he gets witnessing his ideas coming to life, Zak thrives on growing SingleHop.

Talk of dedicated servers, datacenter details and energy efficiency seem to flow constantly throughout his conversations, its a wonder there isnt a permanent groove in the floor from his habit of pacing while on the phone. When his iPhone isnt glued to his ear, Zak has his hands to his keyboard. Rapidly typing miles a minute, the ding of constant email updates and the clicking of his keys are all that can be heard while he tackles multiple projects simultaneously.

Not only does he have a natural knack for business, Zak has an unparalleled ability to negotiate and debate. He has the amazing gift of knowing everything- or so he claims. If, on the off chance, he isnt familiar with something, he will quickly educate himself because of his ever-abundant thirst for gaining knowledge. In 2006 Zak was nominated for INC Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year, and went on to be a Reader's Choice Entrepreneur of the Year for 2006.

Work hard and play hard is Zaks motto, although, his brain never fully veers away from SingleHop, regardless of where he is. Traveling the world to places like Greece and Mexico, or playing around Chicago helps Zak relax. If its warm outside (and by warm, meaning over 70 degrees), chances are you can find Zak out on Lake Michigan- flying over the waves on jet skis or lying in the sun on the boat. He definitely has a need for speed when it comes to both work and play.
