Luis ArauzData Center Operations Manager

Luis Arauz is our Data Center Manager at SingleHop. He spends his time at the datacenter, not only making sure everything gets done, but also configuring and maintaining the cabinets that house all the servers for our customers.

After living in Chicago for seven years, Luis has found his favorite place in the city is Museum Campus. With the wide array of available activities, he uses his free time working out, learning and using their recreation facilities. Hanging out in the park and spending time at the museums also help Luis relax. If it's nice outside, you're bound to see him riding his bike on the trails along the lake. Not only does he enjoy being outdoors, but you could also find him doing computer security research. Researching things such as systems penetration testing and hardware modding keep his brain in top-technological shape.

His start in computers came from playing games he found in BASIC magazine. He got a head start by programming his uncle's Commodore64. With a love of computers and technology, Luis studied Computers and Electronics at PolyTechnic University all the way in Brooklyn, NY.

With all the work Luis does in our datacenter, he still finds time to do other activities he enjoys. Not only does he use his computer knowledge at our datacenter, but also puts it to good use when he volunteers at a boys and girls club. He has built and maintained the computer systems and servers as well as the kids' computer lab. Working or not, Luis always has a slew of projects and activities he is partaking in.
