Eric Nathaniel SchrombeckData Center Tech/Windows Specialist

After living in a slew of cities throughout Indiana and Illinois, Eric Schrombeck decided to join us here at SingleHop as a Junior System Administrator. Eric keeps himself busy covering a multitude of responsibilities- answering tickets, taking phone calls and provisioning servers for our clients. In addition to working directly with our customers, Eric works internally as the local domain administrator. Known around the NOC as the 'Windows guy', he can be found setting up the networking and workstations at our datacenter.

When he is not hard at work in the datacenter, Eric is relaxing in the company of friends. As if he didn't get enough time working with technology, Eric spends his free time educating himself on smaller gadgets such as computers and phones. Being so technologically savvy could have its pitfalls, though, such as when he uses his knowledge to create horrible electronic music- purely for comedic value. He also fills his time learning as much as he can about politics and world news; anything to make him appear as smart as possible. This comes in handy for him when he gets into a heated debate, which he's always up for. And he is definitely not worried about losing, as he puts it: 'I don't mind being proven wrong' it just means I will be right next time'.

So, how did this 22-year-young computer genius become so proficient? Never attending any computing classes, he is a completely self-taught guru when it comes to computers. 'I just always had a knack for it when I was younger,' he claims. Growing up he would deliberately break things just so he could turn around and learn how to fix them. After countless headaches he caused his parents by dissecting their computers, he finally got his own- and, as they say, the rest is history. His motto: 'Know a little bit about everything, and master nothing.'

Eric is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
