SingleHop Unveils Customer API for Control over LEAP and more.

Chicago, IL September 23, 2010: SingleHop, Inc., a leading provider of dedicated servers and complex web hosting, today announced the release of two new programming tools designed to let SingleHop customers further customize the way they manage their businesses online.

SingleHop's new tools are "APIs," or application programming interfaces, which allow customers to build applications using any programming language they choose, which are powerful enough to interact and exchange data directly with SingleHop's own systems. APIs are often used to facilitate automation and daily work between two companies.

"We're constantly looking for ways to give our customers more control over their servers and solutions," said Zak Boca, President and CEO of SingleHop. "Our new API tools are the latest step in that effort. We have focused on extending more and more control to our customers, and an extensive API is a natural progression of that."

SingleHop's new LEAP API lets customer applications interact with LEAP, SingleHop's server management system, while the Tandem API works with the company's server reseller system. Both tools provide access to SingleHop's device management, ticketing, and billing systems. Technical documentation needed to use the APIs is available on the SingleHop website.

Luke Tworek, senior developer for LEAP, said "The API allows SingleHop clients to expand and customize their hosting experience in unprecedented ways. It works using the JSON protocol to easily send requests and receive data from LEAP." He also highlighted several of the key uses of the new API for customers, which include:

- Rebooting servers

- Submitting and replying to technical or account tickets

- Displaying detailed information on IP, bandwidth and server hardware

- Paying invoices

In addition to its new programming tools, SingleHop recently announced the launch of Cascade, a new cloud computing platform which will allow customers to make real-time changes to their servers' capacity. The Cascade platform can be controlled through SingleHop's new API. The firm's API wiki can be accessed by going to: http://apiwiki.singlehop.com/
