SingleHop Now Offers all Its Customers 100Mbps Uplink Ports with Unmetered Inbound Traffic; Now Only Metering Outbound Traffic.

Chicago, IL: April 29, 2009: Chicago-based managed web-hosting provider, SingleHop, announced that starting today, all SingleHop customers, new and old, have been upgraded to 100MB uplink ports, and only outbound traffic will be metered.

Starting a few months ago, SingleHop chose to lead the industry by offering free 100Mbps uplink ports to all customers at no cost, that is exactly 10 times more capacity than the industry average of 10Mbps; this increased capacity benefits customers by providing a larger pipe to push their traffic through. This translates into less latency, faster download times for files, movies, streaming video and audio, particularly during times of unexpected peak demand.

Zak Boca, President and CEO of SingleHop commented, "We are focused on providing customers with the most capacity possible. By increasing the port speeds and only metering outbound we offer our clients, we save them money in overages that they otherwise would have to pay; we give them more control over their bandwidth utilization. These upgrades also facilitate the buying process, as all customers automatically get 100Mbps uplink ports right from the start."

Andy Pace, Vice President of Operations at SingleHop, commented that "last year, SingleHop upgraded all customer servers to a minimum of 2 GB of RAM at no additional charge. And this time we are upping the ante again by getting all customers on 100Mbs uplink ports, moves that continue to demonstrate our commitment to our clients ongoing success."
