Chicago, IL: April 17, 2009: Chicago-based managed web-hosting provider, SingleHop, today announced Q1 results for quarter ending March 31st, 2009. Despite intense economic pressure, SingleHop achieved unprecedented growth of over 400% in servers sold for Q1 2009, compared to the same quarter in 2008. This equates to over 1,000 servers sold for Q1 09.
Alongside of the tremendous growth in Q1, SingleHop continues to innovate new products and features, which provide customers more control and flexibility over their servers. During this same quarter, SingleHop released several features and extensions to their industry leading web-desktop platform LEAP:
• LEAPmobile: Allows customers to control their servers, tech support, and billing through their choice of mobile devices. The mobile-portal was specifically designed for BlackBerry, iPhone, and G1 devices in mind.
• LEAP Server Bailout system: A program that runs on the LEAP web-desktop that allows customers to rescue servers that have been compromised through hacking, troubleshoot software errors, and recover data from damaged servers.
• Private Network: A network that allows inter-server communication within the data center. Backups, server synchronization and sever communication- all done securely, privately and at incredible 1Gbps speed.
According to SingleHops' President and CEO, Zak Boca, "the incredible growth that we are experiencing is directly related to our focus of constantly understanding and listening to what our customers need. While already underway, our roadmap for development in 2009 will have us continuing to improve on current systems, with a focus on making our internal operations more efficient to handle our growth and presenting clients with added control." SingleHop has taken steps to insure a high level of service for customers, despite the rapid growth. SingleHop's VP of Operations, Andy Pace, mentioned that "our clients wait on average less than 30 seconds before being connected directly to our network operations center, and 9 minutes for ticket responses. Our ability to setup our customer's servers has actually gotten faster despite the growth, with server provisioning at 27 minutes. In the end, despite this incredible growth, the metrics have improved and we're excited about what lies ahead for us in Q2."
