Chicago, IL: January 21, 2010: Chicago-based SingleHop, Inc., a provider of dedicated and complex hosting solutions, today announced that they will be contributing $10,000 to aid and relief efforts in Haiti, an island nation still suffering in the wake of the devastating 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck on January 12th. SingleHops relief contribution includes a matching funds initiative, and the company will match any donations to their aid package made by SingleHop employees.
"We are profoundly saddened by the recent tragedy and loss of life in Haiti, and like many, eager to respond to the extensive needs of the Haitian people," says SingleHop VP of Communications Dan Salcedo. "Our contributions will go towards providing food, water, shelter, and medical supplies to the earthquake victims who so desperately need them right now. We hope that by leading the web hosting industry in Haitian relief contributions, and by encouraging and matching contributions from our own employees, we can do our part and also inspire other individuals and organizations to respond generously to this humanitarian emergency."
SingleHop has chosen to donate through the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund initiative since the fund is structured on delivering 100% of the donations to the victims as administration costs are being undertaken by both President Bush and President Clintons foundations.
