Dozens of sales professionals credit Mike with changing their outlook on their sales career as well as their ability to achieve their personal goals.
His belief and teachings supporting the mentality that “we are all professional customers before professional salespeople” has received praise from sales publications and nationally recognized associations. He employs these mindsets to allow for best success within his team as well as the company as a whole.
Within his role at SingleHop Mike leads the sales team to expect success from every customer encounter. But not only through earning a sale, also by providing professional leadership to those who may have needs outside of SingleHop’s specialties and allowing the customer the best opportunity for making a logical investment in their hosting needs.
Andy Pace is our Vice President of Operations here at SingleHop. Steadfastly overseeing everything from customer installs to developing new products for our continued growth.
Being self-proclaimed as 'man pretty'- sporting shoulder length hair and his head barely skimming door frames- Andy does more than just enhance the beauty of the workplace. If you have a question, chances are he will know the answer. Just listen for the boisterous music shaking the walls of the SingleHop office, and it will lead you to Andy typing feverishly away at his keyboard.
He came to Chicago from Kansas City, Missouri in 2004 to share with us his specialized knowledge of server architecture, load balanced and high availability solutions as well as ideas for new product development.
At the young age of sixteen, Andy started working in the web hosting industry because of his strong 'curiosity of how it all worked'. And he definitely figured out how it all works! From previous job titles including Systems Administrator and Support Engineer, NOC Technician and Hardware Specialist, Andy has a natural knack for the technology industry.
Andy is a true workaholic, ask him what he does when he has free time and you'll get a simple response of: 'Time off? What's that?' When he does find some time for himself, he enjoys spending it at the local bars with fellow co-workers. However, with his Blackberry attached to his hip, he can always be reached and is on top of all operations at SingleHop.
Dan, a Chicago native and our VP, co-founded SingleHop with business partner Zak Boca in 2006, while building and growing their shared web hosting company, midPhase Services. Dan focused largely on the marketing aspects of midPhase, growing the small operation to one of the world's fastest growing hosting operations. With focus on affiliate marketing and network marketing, midPhase grew rapidly, building up over 100,000 customers before it was acquired in December of 2007. After the acquisition, Dan moved on to SingleHop full time. Since then, Dan has focused primarly on SingleHop's marketing, advertising, public relations and sales efforts.
Dan brings extensive experience in web hosting and online marketing to SingleHop.
Previously, Dan founded and operated advertising network dkAds Network, Inc., which sold its primary asset, HostingCatalog.com to Kansas City's iNet Directories. In addition to SingleHop, Dan is also a partner in a credit card processing company and merchant services business, ProcessingPoint, LLC.
Dan attended Harper College and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a focus on business management and marketing.
Zak is responsible for strategy, new products, operations & accounting/finance. Zak Boca co-founded SingleHop, LLC. in October of 2006, with his long-time business partner Dan Ushman. Prior to forming SingleHop, Zak and Dan founded midPhase Services, a shared and VPS hosting company in 2003. Zak focused largely on the operations and strategic aspects of midPhase, growing the business to over 150,000 clients before it was acquired in December 2007. In 2006 Zak was nominated for INC Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year, and went on to be a Reader's Choice Entrepreneur of the Year for 2006. In 2010 Zak was nominated to Crain's 40 under 40, a list of business leaders in Chicago. Zak was most recently named to the TechWeek 100 list, which identifies technology leaders that are having a global impact on the business.
Previously, Zak, then 18, founded and operated NexAds, LLC. in 2001, from his mom's house, while attending Western Kentucky University and working at a local pizza restaurant. NexAds asset, RateMyHost.com, was acquired in 2003.
In addition to SingleHop, Zak is also a partner in credit card processing and merchant services company, ProcessingPoint, LLC. ProcessingPoint now has agents throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. ProcessingPoint also owns uAttend,a cloud computing approach to time & attendance management for small businesses whose time clocks are sold in CostCo, Staples and other retailers.
